If you can believe this...
BOTH my children have been in bed - their OWN beds.. Well, Aislyn is in my bed because that is where she sleeps but what I mean is that they are both asleep in the places where they will be sleeping for the entire night. So that is nice. Kent is also in bed. And that is nice too, haha. I'm up past 10pm and there isn't anyone bitching, crying or begging to die. (The first and last bits are usually me, haha.)
So... Easter pictures!
Checking out their baskets. It doesn't look like much but you wouldn't BELIEVE the amount of time/money that went into those freaking things.
My own Easter bunny with her own Easter bunny. :)
Hee hee.
Another of Aislyn with her basket because Riley wouldn't pose with his.
Yuck. But Riley's cute. I'm a bit dirty in this photo, haha. It was pre-shower. Yikes.
Riley was making some weird faces in those ones... and Aislyn was getting bored, haha.
Isn't she just the cutest little happy thing? I love her! It's a little blurry because she was waving her arms all around excitedly, she wouldn't sit still!
Yeah, she's still teething. :)
I know... most of these photos are of Aislyn but well, she's easier to get pictures of because she just sits where I tell her!
Riley on the go. Per usual.
Detective Riley... at your service.
I know, too many pictures. I should put a warning at the top. I will. I have a billion more pictures I would LIKE to post, of Easter and of the day before Easter (where we colored Easter eggs and visited with Kent's family) but virtually no time (in the foreseeable - wow, that does not look like a real word - future) to do it. So I might post more but definitely do not hold your breath on that.
I hope everyone had a good Easter.
Chris... ugh. He's out. The stupid yucky man is out of prison and all is not right with the world. But whatever. We haven't seen him. I was freaking out on Monday morning, like pretty near hyperventilating. So Kent called his parents and said, "You're welcome to come visit when you come to Bangor to pick up Chris. BUT. If you come you have to come before you pick him up." Score 1 point for the husband! So they did come and visited with Riley and brought him his Easter things (which they had forgotten to bring down on Saturday). And it was a teensy bit uncomfortable but not unbearable. Still, they don't really know that we don't want Chris around because Kent sort of made it seem like I had somewhere to be in the afternoon so they couldn't come visit then. Which is lying but hey, it solved the problem for the moment and saved me from having to be 'the bad guy' at least one more day. Pfft.
Chris is all back on his high horse now that he's out. He's convinced that he's going to go to veterinary school, jump right back in to work and whatnot. But more than that, he's convinced that people will want to welcome him back. Well, I've got news for him. People do background checks. And I don't know anyone who wants to hire a convicted pedophile to work with animals. Animals that belong to people. People who probably have kids. It's hard to even get a job in retail with much less severe convictions. So I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't much care. As long as he's in Houlton he isn't in Bangor, I guess. Blah.
Inside, I am somewhat gloating. Chris used to treat Kent like crap. I mean, literally almost! He used to make fun of Kent's job, his living situation - everything. And now Kent has a wife, a family, and he just got a great promotion at work. And what does Chris have? A prison record and a bedroom in his mommy's house. So even though Chris has a master's degree (a useless one, since it's for early childhood education) I would say that Kent comes out on top. And I know it isn't a competition except that after all the teasing Kent endured (and all the self-esteem he lost as a result) it's kind of nice. Chris is lucky that I'm not Kent because if I was, I'd be rubbing this in his face like nobody's business. I'm vengeful like that.
Anyway. I should go because I'm still about 3 months behind on sleep and I should be taking advantage and sleeping, not taking it for granted.
